A friend of mine recently asked some questions about developing a product, and creating the final deliverables.
He had been working for months, and had a deadline that he wasn’t sure about. But he needed to get the product done and launched or face serious financial difficulties.
In the discussion, I saw him constantly trying to design and build the perfect product as the first launch. And it struck me that he was going about this the wrong way.
While the product in question was not software, the techniques and processes that we often follow in software can easily be applied to what he was wanting to build.
So, how do you develop new products for a customer or a market and audience?
